Cassell’s Encyclopaedia in 8 Volumes, London, c. 1900
An encyclopaedia with many illustrations including colored plates and maps and full page engravings.
These century old books are full of colored maps and drawings in every volume. The color maps and drawing are wonderfully preserved. Wax paper is used to protect the maps and illustrations. This is a great collection for the family.
The book texts are complete and clean. Pages are not ripped, which is amazing given the many pull out pages of maps and drawings. There is some lightness to one of the covers as seen in the photos. But otherwise, acceptable condition.
The books measure 6 3/4 inches x 9 7/16 inches. (Encyclopedia)
