C.1860 English Staffordshire Figurine
This is a 14 1/4 inches English Staffordshire figurine. This is a group figurine of a man, dressed in a kilt, holding a bagpipe and wearing a plumb in his hat sitting next to a young maiden who is wearing a low cut dress, caring plaid shawl and sitting above the clock which is protected by a frame.
The clock frame has a simple decorated garland of flowers. Other than a kiln crack on the inside open space between the couple the figurine this figurine is in very nice condition. There is minor loss to a few spots of missing color that would have been placed over the final pearlware glaze.
This is one of the largest Staffordshire figurines I have bought in England and does make a lovely item to display.
