C. 1908 English Silver Plated Tipping Tea Pot
A lovely English Silver Plated tipping tea pot/kettle. The makers mark is Mappin & Webb, London & Sheffield.
This tea pot is triple plated. Measurements: Sitting on the raised stand the teapot measures 12 1/2 inches high from the base of the feet to the top of the fixed handle. The tea pot is 9 1/2 inches from spout tip to the extended handle. Condition: This tipping tea pot and stand are in very nice condition.
This tea pot is held in place by two pins attached to the stand by a chain. When the back pin is removed the tea pot can be tipped for pouring. The maker’s mark can be seen in the photos.
The spirit burner and wick are original and fit nicely under the tea pot. On one side of the tea pot there is a family crest engraved onto the side.
This is a beautiful English Silver Plated tipping teapot on a stand and could be used and has the Elegant look of the day.
