This is a most unusual English 9ct gold fob. Unusual because this is the first time I have found a gold English fob/award medal. The hallmarks for the fob are: .375=9ct, Birmingham England, 1911 by Herbert Bushell & Son. Measurements: 1 3/8 inches by 3/4 inches wide.
There are no engraved initials or award marks on either side of this lovely fob. The shield design has a engraved designs on the outside rim on the front of the fob with a raised additional shield placed in the center. The fob looks to have been in someones drawer for at least 100 years. The fob could be part of a necklace or bracelet.
