1838-1840 English Blue and White Transfer ware Handleless Cup and Saucer
A wonderful handleless cup and sauce set with the light blue transfer. Transferware was one of the most popular designs during the late Georgian and Victorian Era in England. This dates to the cup and saucer to 1838-1840. Maker: T.J. Mayer, Longport, England. Pattern name: Garden Scenery. Each piece is in good order.
The handleless cup sits 3 inches high and the widest diameter is 3 7/8 inches. There are no chips, repairs or cracks to this cup. The saucer is 5 7/8 inches across and has a recessed design to lifts the rim up to 1 1/8 inches depth level. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to the saucer. In the center of the saucer there are kiln point marks. This is a wonderful item to gift, decorate with and use.
