Elegant Ebonized American Aesthetic Movement Victorian plant or fern stand. All original, with a lovely, slightly worn ebonized finish over solid cherry. This graceful three legged pedestal consists of a central turned column with three turned legs attached by other fine turnings. Each leg has a turned finial that slants away from the leg and splayed bottoms. The round stepped back top has a circle of brass beads as decoration. Original un-touched ebonized finish has slight wear through out so that a hint of the warm cherry wood peeks through. The top surface has more wear from something being on it and shows clearly in our pictures. Very sturdy. Circa 1885. 29" tall x 15 1/2" top diameter, the base is 20" at the widest point. Price $395.
