Circa 1885. Lovely pair of Orientalist chromo-lithographs, in faux rosewood frames. This fine small pair of Aesthetic Movement prints are all original and in fine original condition. Each print is of a beautiful young woman in Middle-Eastern clothing. One is richly dressed and jeweled and the other is plainly dressed and carries a large decorated jug. Each one is beautifully done and richly colored. The faux rosewood frames are typical of the Period with both ebonized and gilded detail. Each frame retains its original wood back and triangular metal hanger. Someone in the past has put paper tape on the backs and we have not removed it or opened the frames. The frames have minor wear and some shrinkage but are in over-all good condition. The art is 6 5/8" x 3 1/8" . The frame size is 9 3/8" x 4 5/8" . Price $150 for the pair.
