This very rare, and certainly highly collectible, mudman is the Immortal Li Tieh Kuai. He appears in different forms at times. This particular form is believed by the Chinese to ward off bad health and sickness. He is glazed in Blue and Brown.. Not only is this a very rare figure, the condition it is in makes it even more exceptional.
You may have noticed that we are trying to give our buyers not only the age and condition of pieces we offer, but we also try to give newer collectors an idea of whether a piece is rare or common, and everything in-between. We have seen a tremendous rise in the number of mudmen collectors. They are still affordable, and I find fascinating.
We shall be re-checking our older listings, since much of the research I have done shows that many of them are morerare and valuable than I originally thought.
