This is one of several Staffordshire pottery pieces I purchased from an estate. I find them all quite intriguing considering the time of manufacture (late 19th Century). Quite nicely painted. This one in particular has an anomaly. The clock has all the numbers correct, except for the 12. It is either "32" or "27".
Country of Origin: England.
Medium: Semi-Porous pottery. Hand finished details.
Size: Approximately 8 1/4 inches tall by 5 inches wide by 2 inches deep.
Size: Approximately 8 1/4 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches deep..
Circa: last half of the 19th Century.
Condition: Good antique condition. One crack on the back (behind the lady musician's arm) that does not go through to the front.
Colors are vibrant. The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
Provenance: Hindman Gallery.
