Yoke Bearer With "Wood" Barrels for Toothpicks, Spices, Incense, or Brushwashers
Nowadays collecting mudmen has become increasingly popular. While most collectors are starting their collections with more common figures, some have progressed to a more serious level. Whatever your collecting preferences, learning about the meanings and desirable features.
This particular figure has a yoke harnessed to two wooden styled buckets. This was made to be used for toothpicks or spices at the dining room table. This figure is not as common as the yoked mudmen with a peach and coin, but we do not consider it "rare." What is special about this particular fellow is his condition, which is Very Good to Excellent
The next thing to value is the condition of the figure. Are the colors still vibrant? Is there damage? Almost all mudmen will have some roughness around the base which is acceptable. However try to avoid broken or restored pieces, unless it is a truly rare piece.

Size: 6 inches tall.

Marks: None.

Condition: Very Good. The expected roughness around the base.

Circa 1890 - 1919.
