Animal art is always attractive to me. Fine lithographs such as this from a rare publication are especially desirable. This folio lithograph is from "The Mammals of Australia" by Johann Ludwing (Louis) Gerard Krefft, illustrated by Miss Harriett Scott and Mrs Helena Forde.
Mr. Krefft was a world renowned zoologist and paleontologist. Several animals were named for him. There is a great deal written about him and his interesting life. You can find highlights in Wikipedia, and other sources.
