This is another one of a collection of precious and semiprecious stone carvings we recently purchased from a retired professor of gemology. It was his personal collection and each one is the best of the best.. This one is a beautiful jade bear with very lovely patterns. Interesting that Bears are symbols of strength and wisdom to many Native Americans, and are often associated with healing and medicine (since bears continue fighting after being seriously injured, Native Americans often believed they were capable of healing their wounds.) (Thanks Native Language).

Medium: Jade Nephrite (identified by our gemologist).

Size: Approximately 1 10/16 inches tall; approximately 1 inch deep; approximately 2 1/2 inches wide..

Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition.
