Yang Qian, Chinese (b 1959) is creating a great deal of excitement in Sothebys and Christies sales in Asia, and astute collectors here are beginning to take notice. This particular original signed work is my favorite of everything I have seen of his work. It is sensual and meaningful and mysterious. In 1814, the masterpiece "Grande Odalisque" was painted by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres. There have been other paintings loosely fashioned after it, but I believe none have reached the depth and intrigue until this very large creation of Yang Qian. Sotheby's estimated this particular painting for $20,000 to $30,000 in 2008. Yong Qian's high public sales price was $161,000.00.

We have reduced the price on both of our Yang Qian original artwork substantially since we are moving in the next three months and want to decrease the amount ofartwork we are taking.
