A helpful collector/expert on militaria has helped with the description. He feels that It's a WWII era helmet. His rationale: "WW1 versions had leather straps; this has a cotton strap. These helmets were widely used more during WW2 than in WW1. Also the top button looking rivet is large. The WW1 versions were small like a dot."
It has original liner and chin strap. It needs to be re-painted. Overall appears to be original.
Size: Diameter 12".
