This simply and totally attracted my attention from my first glance. It is a signed Studio Paperweight, but I can not read the artist's signature, or the name of the studio. It is definitely dated 1951, and in my opinion has great artistic value. It has a blue-purple color ground, with cascades of wonderful iridescent drops. It is swirled from the top. The near freeform shape is terrific. Photos do not do it justice.
Size: 3 1/2" tall. Approximately 3 1/2" diameter at the widest.
Marks: Signed illegibly by the artist as well as the studio.
Circa: Dated 1951.
Condition: Very Good. Minor display wear on bottom. No losses.
