This wonderful collection was presented to Rep. C. W. "Bill" Young by the US Marine Corps. Plaque reads "A true patriot and friend of the Corps and one who has given more flags flown over the Capital than any other member. This Old Glory was flown over the Kuwait City on 28 Feb 1991 during the liberation of the Kuwait people." Presented in appreciation of Bill Youngs support of the Military budget. From the estate of Congressman Bill Young.

Charles William "Bill" Young (December 16, 1930 – October 18, 2013) was an American politician who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1971 to 2013. A Republican from Florida, Young served as chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations from 1999 to 2005. He was the longest-serving Republican member of Congress at the time of his death.
