I was a teenager on my first trip to Europe. Went with a much older female cousin and we had a wonderful three months there, driving through country after country. When we were in France, I spotted these and knew I had to have them, even though they cost just about all of my "discretionary budget!" They were in an antique shop. Even then I loved antiques. Being 50 years ago, we were surprised that they were anatomically correct! Have had them in a safe place, always behind glass, wherever I lived. They have been treasured, although I know nothing more about their origins. The dealer said back then they were antiques. I am not sure of the Country of Origin.
Size: Male 4 1/2" tall; Female 4 1/4" tall, Both Bases 4 3/4" long, 3" deep.
Condition: Very Good. No restoration. As found fifty years ago.
I would appreciate input as to current value, age, country of origin, etc. Are these Majolica? I am just guessing as to value, since I have not yet had them appraised.
