Laszlo Ispanky designed many of the finest original Cybis porcelains before opening his own studio. Subsequently, he worked for Goebel. Ispanky's pieces are in some of the world's most famous collections including The Smithsonian Institute, The Brooklyn Museum, Buckingham Palace, and The Vatican.
This lovely girl is beautifully portrayed. She is touching one of her braids with one hand, and straightening her dress with the other. Very typical movements for a young girl. Is she the Heidi of the story? I don't know. Just know that the porcelain is charming and naive.
