John Chiles has created not only lovely art glass, but the equipment to better make useful glass. I believe he has not received the recognition he deserves, but that is rapidly changing.
This was sold in the annual Haystack Mountain School of Crafts auction that benefits the school's scholarship fund and improvements to the campus. Work is donated from established and well recognized artists, many of whom are on the staff of Haystack, or come occasionally for lectures and so forth.
This tall vase is decorated with shades of green rows twisting around the vase is still a low cost, which I believe is underpriced.
Size: 11 3/4" tall.
Signed: John Chiles, Haystack Auction 5th Session.
Condition: Very Good.
