A pencil on paper sketch of a nail executed by Henry Fonda. Enclosed in original transmittal envelope sent to actor John Crawford at the Plymouth Theatre in New York. Envelope is postmarked from Culver City, California, July 1954. (Isn't it fascinating to see 6 cent Airmail) Fonda and Crawford worked together in 1954 on the Broadway play The Caine Mutiny Court Martial at the Plymouth Theatre, where Crawford was the stage manager and understudy for the production and Fonda played Lt. Barney Greenwald. (I have listed the original program signed by Henry Fonda and the entire cast. Just put "Henry Fonda" in the Search Box.)
Size: 3 1/2 by 6 inches
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. The sketch has no damage. The envelope shows some expected signs of age.
