Paintings of wildlife always appeal to me. This attracted me because of the feeling of movement of the elk. Being an incurable romantic, a nicely done painting allows my mind to "feel" the mountain and the foliage, and the sight of an elk is always exciting to me. In my younger days, I spent a fair amount of time out west (Wyoming, South Dakota, and Montana) and the paintings tend to recreate those wonderful days in my memory. I think the simple black wooden frame is appropriate.
