This is a bit more unusual than the "average" vestas, if there is such a thing as "average." It has a lovely hardstone decorating it. with a nice scroll and foliate border done very tastefully not to overpower the hardstone. I truly enjoy match safes, and feel they are rapidly growing in the collectible market. But it has been my policy to buy the best you can at fair prices, rather than looking for the "bargains" which may be imitations.
