This is such an elegant little perfumer . The cut to clear technique is typical of fine Bohemian glass items of that time frame . The perfumer is hand painted with enamel florals and gilding , which was also a very traditional style for the upper class ladies.
Appraiser Comments: This is a lovely little bottle. There are some visible signs of wear, including some missing paint and wear and tear on the gilding. Part of that is caused through constant handling and use, and part through the effect of the alcohol and chemicals in the contents, which over time eat away at even the strongest of paints . The fact that the hinged cap is intact and the interior stopper is still in the bottle is a great bonus. Over all it is in lovely condition and the colour is beautiful .
Appraiser Tips: No tips required , other than do not polish the cap or cuff . It is a brass plated top and abrasive cleaners could damage the surface as well as removing the patina .
