Chinese Mudman Yoke Bearer With Peach and Coin (Symbol of Long Life and Wealth). Circa 1920
This Yoke Bearer has an interesting facial expression. He seems secretly amused. Can it be because he has long life and wealth? He is glazed in the Sancai tradition of Cerulean Blue, Jade Green and Mustard Yellow.
Size: 5 inches tall and 4 inches wide.
Usual base rubs. Vivid Colors. Roughness at the end of one of his tresses. The overall condition is better than what you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
This is part of the fabulous collection of 144 vintage and antique mudmen I have just purchased, that had been lovingly collected over many decades. I purchased all 144 pieces, all in Very Good to Excellent Condition. I will be listing all of them, and of course will consider a reduced price if one were to purchase all or a large number of them. I am listing them at very affordable prices individually as well.
