This framed book plate engraving of seals (toned) is a bit baffling to me. it is marked "L'ours Marin" on bottom. The only references I have found is that it is the name of a gay bar in Paris. At the top of the page, it has several things printed; Tom XII, Tom XI, Pl XLVII page 214. In very small letters at the top left is Supl N Edit. It would seem to me that an antique book with at least 47 plates and 214 pages should be able to be identified. But I have not been able to do so.
This Engraving appears to be in Good to Very Good Condition. There is some age yellowing. I have not examined it out of the frame.
Size: 9 1/4" x7" (framed). 5 5/8" x 3 1/2" (sight).
