This highly attractive smoker's set dates back to the 1880s, and showcases superior craftsmanship quality. This is a truly exquisite Smoker's Set consisting of a cigar stand for eight cigars, two small barrels as match holders, an integrated striking surface and a figural cigar cutter. All parts are set on an integrated wooden base. It is crafted from wood with lovely brass rimmed stag antler inlays. A stag antler rimmed striking surface and an ornate figural brass cigar cutter in the shape of a winged creature are also integrated on the base that is additionally adorned with more brass rimmed inlays.
This fine item dates back to Germany or Austria in the 1880s.

Manufacturing Technique: Wood turning and hand carving. Casting and chase work.
Condition: Good ORIGINAL as found condition with minor notches and chips here and there. Few small elements missing, minor dents to cigar cutter. At the ring shaped cigar stand parts appear to have come loose and have been glued back. The bottom is sealed with later velvet-like material. The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
