When I was still young, and on my first trip to Europe (September, 1965), I purchased this compact at the store owned by the relative of a friend. I used it a number of times when I got back home, then decided to just put it away. (In those days, we would carry loose powder in compacts when we went out. Now most people carry the compressed make-up rather than the loose powder.)
This is over 2 and 1/2 inches across, and a bit over 2 inches deep.
Everything is original. It opens and closes well, The mirror is in fine condition, the inside pieces all fit and are undamaged. The back is nicely patterned.
The pictures are part of the description.
All told, a piece seldom seen.
