This is an unusual Chinese snuff bottle made of soapstone showing a flattened cylindrical shape and an appealing corncob pattern. This soapstone snuff bottle is of Chinese origin, and is hand-carved in flattened cylindrical shape. It showcases the corncob pattern. This miniature collectible dates back to c. 1900.
The bottle has a cylindrical neck with a rather wide opening and is quite well hollowed. The stopper is made of a lovely green Jadeite.
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: China.
DATE: Late Qing, c 1900.

MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUE: Hand carving.
CONDITION: Good ORIGINAL as found condition with wear and small nicks. No restoration other than original spoon that had been broken and repaired.
