I have only rarely seen these particular porcelains, and never before painted. I believe that they were probably painted after production outside the studio, but the quality is so amazing that it is comparable to that of Boreslaw Cybis' personal works. I cannot imagine what these would be worth if Cybis himself had painted them, but they are priced much lower, being exquisitely painted by an unknown artist. The colors are muted and very beautiful. These must have been painted together, as the colors are very complimentary to each other.
They are both incised "Corday" on the bases. Corday was Cybis' earliest studio.
They stand 10 and 1/2 inches tall, and are in Very Good to Excellent Condition.
