Another superb porcelain sculpture by the premier Italian sculptor of the 20th Century. This piece was not released in the United States, so it is not seen often here. Antonio Borsato had the talent to produce a wide range of subjects, each detailed, and always in the round (viewable from all sides). He is considered the Michaelangelo of the 20th Century, and his works are displayed in the Vatican, various museums, and important private collections, including that of Henry Kissinger (and mine, of course!) Each piece was lovingly hand-painted, with different colors and details. His gift for capturing expressions is remarkable.
This piece is in Excellent Condition, with no losses.
It measures 9 and 1/4 inches tall by 6 inches wide.
