This wonderful antique engraving dates to between 1701 and 1745. Van Buysen was an engraver, etcher and draughtsman, active in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, most biographical information is in Dutch. There is extensive articles, etc. We do know that he was the father of the engraver Andreas Casparus Van Buysen, and probably of the engraver Jan van Buysen. He was active in the first half of the 18th Century. This is a rare and very desireable offering.
