Very little is known about the background of this extremely talented artist; a contemporary of Louis Icart. He was extremely acclaimed, although he was very private, and little is known about his background.
Etchings by Jean Hardy stopped in the mid 1930’s, although the final date of production is a matter of speculation.
Collector interest for his work in the current market is considered very high and growing.
The period original frame makes this an especially interesting artwork with expectation of appreciation.
