Geoff Rockwell (American, b 1962) is a fascinating artist. His specialty is filling his clients dreams with their commissions. Whatever great work you love, he will paint in that style, with just a bit of his own artistry in each painting. And of course each of his paintings are original artwork, which he signs. So a notation of "After Balthazar van der Alst" would be appropriate for this painting.
Geoff worked in Boston at the Isabella Stewart Gardiner Museum, and in 1989 he moved to New York to work as a muralist for a decorative painting company. Today he runs his own. Rockwell Artisan Studio produces a wide range of fine art projects and has established a reputation of quality for itself as a top company for a long list of architects and interior designers. His studio creates a variety of works — from murals done in various styles and exact replicas of historic paintings, to painted period furniture, trompe l’oeil, and faux finishes. Recently Geoff has worked on projects as diverse as designing interiors for private jets, creating intricately painted glass panels for the St. Regis Hotel, reproductions of paintings by Georges Braque and Dutch still lifes, portraiture, and a huge mural for an exhibition at the Schaulager Museum in Basel, Switzerland. Geoff’s projects have brought him to many cities across the country and around the world. His work can be seen in homes from Santa Barbara, California, to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Most of his works have prices determined between him and his buyer, and not publicized. However, we have found that a price of $1,750.00 has been recorded.
