Alexander Gore's artwork has been reaching new highs in the South Florida marketplace, and prices are going up nationally and internationally. There was a small public sale in Miami that I am told one of his paintings sold for $3,000.00. While I have not verified this, I have checked with various galleries that have been the recipient of the price increases as well. Since the artwork that we have acquired has cost us more as well, we must raise our prices as well. However, artwork that we had paid "old prices" for shall remain lower. This is one of the contemporary artists who really appeals to me. His work can be quite different from what many people think is my taste in art, but if you really look at what I like you will find that my tastes are extremely eclectic, and hard to predict. This particular artist, Alexander Gore, is still extremely affordable, and I believe could present an excellent opportunity for appreciation. Of course, one should never buy art only in hopes of appreciation. One should buy only what appeals to them, since the enjoyment we get from the art we love is the best "return" on investment! Many factors determine price. Some people look for size; others particular colors. I price the works we are now presenting on our own evaluation of the talent and uniqueness of each. This has the artist's COA with title and a bit of information about the particular work and the artist.

Alexander Gore is an artist who was ahead of his time. He was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, where his art consumed his imagination and life, and he followed his very Modernist style. The authorities and the "establishment" there decreed he had three choices: he could change to a more traditional style of art; he could leave the country; or he was to be inducted into the Russian army. Russia's loss was our gain. He made the long and perilous journey to the United States where he has lived his life creating an ever changing Modernist style that is finally receiving the acclaim I have felt for a long time that his work deserves. We see the prices on his work climbing. I will still offer his works at affordable prices as long as I can, since I purchased quite a few of what I consider the best of his efforts. Mr. Gore's style is "in your face" with heavy use of oil paints. He has a subtlety in some of the meanings of his works, and one many times sees different nuances hidden in the painting. He has developed his style on different media, each one adding what he tries to portray. He makes most of his materials. Part of his passion has been the experimentation with different media backgrounds. His work is surreal; challenging the imagination. He is unique.
