What it refers to specifically is the 16th and 17th century Flemish method and style of painting that this obviously gifted artist has emulated. Features wonderful hand-painted flowers on the top, and scrolls in medium relief all around the bottom piece.

Marks on the bottom: Handwritten "3333 Italy Fiori Fiamminghi E. K." There is a logo that says "R. Capodimonte" and has the initials "G. B." at the top.
