Ginette Rapp (French/American, 1928-1998) has had more recognition since she passed away than before. She was known for colorful scenes of boats and docks. She painted very few still life paintings, and most are not as colorful or impressionistic as this is. Her high auction sale was only a bit over $2100.00, however gallery sales were much higher. This particular painting I immediately loved. It is colorful and dreamy and impressionistic. It stands out from her other still life, in my opinion.
