Edward Kington Brice (British, 1860-1948) A search of auction records reveal very little, since less than two dozen were auctioned. Most of his work is in private collections, having been sold in galleries to astute collectors. The records do show that his florals have been much more popular than other subject matter. Prior auction sales have brought as much as $ 2300.00. Sales through galleries are most probably significantly higher. This particular painting is impressionistic. I feel it is his best work.
Subject: Flowers In The Garden.
Media: Oil on paper laid on canvas.

Signed: Lower right "E. Kington Brice"
Condition: Wax-lined canvas. There appears to be edge wear with evidence of rubbing and loss. A few flakes of loss in yellow flowers. Under UV exam there appears to be small spots of inpainting in upper left corner, center left edge, and a few touches in green door and yellow flowers.
