This 18th c. Hand-Colored Copper Engraving features three Native American Indians, captioned "A Man of California Fishing on His Bark Log; "A Man of the Same Country Returned From Fishing," and a Californian Lady of Distinction." It was engraved for Middleton's Complete System of Geography, Charles Grignion, published in 1777.
