Superb quality 9” ( 23cm ) 1920s-era all porcelain covered box/jar featuring a young lady wearing two colored turban-type hat with protruding white feather, red earrings, with both elbows touch box lid but with right hand molded away and left holding an extended open fan holding up and just barely touch upper left arm. Her flared and puffy knee-length dress forms both the lower part of the upper container as well as the upper part of the lower half of the entire figure. Her bare legs with molded and painted blue slippers are permanently affixed to the raised white porcelain base edged in gold luster and form the basis to support the “top half “. A magnificent decorative object created with great imagination of design! ( No markings found other than what might be construed to be a small red “D” inside the upper part under the skirt but it is barely distinguishable.)
