I think this would date to the late1800's - early 1900's. It is definitely quite old as the leather has the lovely old shiny patina that comes with use and age.The stick is I think Willow or possibly SUPPLEJACK which is a New Zealand cane-like vine as the stick has quite a lot of flex to it. The length is 27 1/4 inches and the Leather Knob is over 1 1/2 inches wide. There was at one time a hand loop but this has broken off with wear. A great piece from our Colonial Past.
