A really super old Railways Collectible this Station Masters Hat is in truly excellent condition as pictured. The inner leather hat band has the Makers name of Bernold & Co stamped on it. THE GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY (GCR) was a railway company in England which came into being when the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincoln-shire Railway changed its name in 1897 in anticipation of the opening in 1899 of its London Extension (Great Central Main Line). On 1 January 1923, it was grouped into the London and North Eastern Railway. Today, small sections of the main line in Leicester-shire and Nottingham-shire are preserved.Several other sections of GCR lines are still in public operation.
