Bruno Bernard (Born 1911 in Berlin - deceased 1987 in Mallorca) was better known under his artistic name 'Bruno of Hollywood' and was one of the best known glamour photographers in the golden era of Hollywood. He was called the "Discoverer" of Marilyn Monroe and his conception of the perfect model was the "natural, normal American girl". One of his most famous photographs is the photo of Marilyn Monroe where she stands over the ventilation shaft of the underground and her white skirt is blown into the air...this was done in 1954 during the photographs done for the film "The Seven Year Itch". As well as actors and actresses he photographed strippers and showgirls and many of these photos were often censored but today are considered as works of art. This cook is considered as rare and collectible and is on offer in specialist book sellers for up to US$180.
