A nice pair of Conquistador solid brass "BATTLE" Stirrup Shoes Circa 1700's. The Conquistadors wore these to protect their feet in battle and also they provided a solid 'platform' to allow them to stand in the stirrups and wield their weapons. As is usual with these there are drainage holes to the bottom ....some wear consistent with use, but otherwise the condition is very good....length is 10 1/2". Origin is Peru - Chile.
