The photograph was taken at Gravesend, England, by T.MUNNS, MARINE PHOTOGRAPHER and contains 8 signatures on the mount board surround. Not dated but will be be early 1900's as the vessel was only around from 1910 to 1917. Mounted size is 10" x 7". Has tears, some dents to pic and pin holes on surround but is a very nice historical shipping piece....probably should be in a Maritime Museum.
The ROTORUA was launched in 1910 for the New Zealand Shipping Company....her sister ship the REMUERA was launched in 1911. The Rotorua was sunk by a German submarine in the English Channel on 22nd March 1917 so had a short time afloat making items from this vessel relatively rare.
