This one I'm advised is the Symbol of British Industry...the young lady rests her hand on an Anvil and a machine cog- wheel projects from the base...she holds a Hammer in her right hand with a Laurel Wreath surrounding it. The Spelter has a copperised finish and the Statuette stands 13" tall on the wooden plinth. Condition is excellent.....I believe this dates to the mid to late 1800's when Great Britain ruled Supreme in The World and British Industry led the World both in innovation, technology, & output. A superb piece of Victoriana.
