VOIR was a commercial joint venture between the American Publisher and the French Government to provide coverage of the War in the French language to the French people. It was published weekly from January 1945 until October the same year. With only 10 months circulation life the magazine is now not often seen on offer.VOIR was a large format magazine (13 3/4" x 10 1/4"), similar in format to LIFE MAGAZINE. PROBABLY DUE TO SENSITIVITY ON THE PHOTOGRAPHS AND INFORMATION THE ISSUES WERE NOT DATED - JUST NUMBERED......obviously only about 40 issues ever sold. These magazines offer some exceptional "action shots" on World War Two and life in France at that time. This issue has Roosevelt on the cover page and an article on him and Truman on inside plus fantastic war action pics.
