A stunning old piece of New Zealand poker-work dating I think to the early 1900's era. The 'art work' depicts a NEW ZEALAND native TUI Bird sitting on the branch of the New Zealand native POHUTAKWA Tree. The tray is 16" in diameter and the artist was certainly very skilled in the use of a hot poker. There are splits on the frame but overall a wonderful old item that with a small amount of restoration would be a wonderful display piece.
