A delightful little old book Published by Whitehead and Co of Fleet St, London, for Charles Tilt, Bibliopolist. Author is George Cruikshank. Book size is 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" with 64 pages plus 24 full page marvelous wood cut illustrations. There are two inscriptions on first two blank frontal pages dating to owners in 1847 and 1863. Binding is tight although tape has been applied on seam of pages 2-3. The general condition is very good...particularly on the written pages ........the illustrations have suffered more to spotting but many are in excellent condition. First Edition rare copy 167 years old.
