RMS CELTIC II was launched in April 1901 for the White Star Line to service the Liverpool to New York route. CELTIC was the first of 4 similar ships built for the White Star Line......they were nicknamed "The Big Four".....all were over 20.000 tons.
During WW One Celtic was used as an Armed Merchant Cruiser then later as a troop ship......she was broken up in 1933.
This lovely little heart shaped brooch is brass with an enamel filled depiction of the ship. It measures 3 x 2.5 cms.
