A Set of Four Georgian Era Hand Coloured Aqua-Tint Engraved Prints. These were Published originally by one Thomas McLean ( 1788-1875) who was a London print seller and publisher specialising in the publication of political caricatures. He issued hundreds of such cartoons in journals such as the Monthly Sheet of Caricatures. This series was originally done with six engravings. These prints may well have been issued later in the Victorian Period as the condition is First Class with no foxing evident at all and the framing looks to be late 1800's or early 1900's. Framed under glass in the 'old fashioned style' they measure 20 inches by 14 1/2 inches with the actual engraved print size being approximately 9" x 7". Apologies for the reflected light in some pictures.
